Donald E. Ferry, Bruce S. Ferry and Lindsay S. Hahn of FERRY AND ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS approach each project with over sixty years of collective architectural experience, which has accounted for over five hundred projects of varying size and complexity.
The commitment of Ferry and Associates Architects is to provide professional services dedicated to developing solutions that are functional, economically feasible and aesthetically pleasing. To accomplish these goals specific disciplines of engineering, including structural, mechanical, electrical and acoustical may be utilized to enhance the efforts of our professional group. The intent is to create, for our clients, building and planning solutions, which creatively resolve both ordinary and unique problems. To this end, Ferry and Associates has developed state of the art computer capability, which includes construction document drafting (AutoCAD 2004), specifications, estimating, and space planning.
Each commission receives the attention and professional effort necessary to fully evaluate the problem, to develop responsible solutions, to communicate with our clients the concepts of those solutions, and finally, to participate throughout the building process to ensure the quality of design and construction, which is expected by our clients and by ourselves.
Buildings are often considered successful if they are functional, shed water, heat and cool efficiently and provide the necessary electrical requirements to support state of the art demands and expectations. While these concerns are undeniably important, Ferry and Associates Architects design philosophy includes additional considerations, which they feel are necessary to realize a successful architectural solution.
These include:
| Site | A building should grow from its site and identify with its surroundings through landscaping and concern for mass, scale, and materials. | |
| Structure | Structural integrity represents the honest expression of the building's skeleton and forms a system of order that responds and reinforces the functional program. | |
| Technology | Use of state of the art materials and systems represent a project of "our time". | |
| Spirit | Appropriate design solutions that convey the spirit and essence of the project's intended purpose. |
When all of the above issues are successfully addressed, a timeless design reflecting the structure's spirit of purpose is achieved.
Ferry and Associates Architects have built a reputation based on thorough, high quality work, with focused attention to detail, delivered on time and within budget. Firm size and management philosophy allows us to provide prompt, responsive and effective services to meet our clients' needs.
